BEAUTY IS IN THE LIFE OF THE BEHOLDER

Beauty is a small word with a lot of meanings. This indescribable word takes on a different meaning in every culture, country and society. For women, it can be a physical translation of their culture’s interpretation of beauty or it can be a character quality that radiates from within a woman.
However, in the United States beauty has become a cultural obsession worth changing for. Many Americans will try anything and stop at nothing to look thinner, younger, and more “beautiful.” But, what about the rest of the world? How do other societies view beauty?For many women from all over the world, beauty has a completely different meaning according to their culture and traditions. Whether it’s Ghana’s cultural desire for women to be larger or India’s emphasis on bright colored clothing and elaborate jewelry, beauty looks different in every culture.
